Women of the Southwest

  • Old Courthouse Complex 4-6 Queen Street Busselton, WA, 6280 Australia (map)

Dionne Doig is a photographer, somatic educator, and multimedia artist whose work explores the depth, resilience, and beauty of feminine identity. Beginning her journey as a birth doula, she developed a profound sensitivity to the unspoken language of the body—expressions of surrender, resistance, and transformation. This awareness now shapes her photography, which moves beyond traditional portraiture into an act of reclamation, embodiment, and artistic expression.

Her exhibition, Women of the Southwest, is a testament to the power of presence and self-revelation. Through evocative imagery, Dionne captures the raw, untamed beauty of women woven into landscapes, textures, and symbolic elements that reflect their stories. Her work invites viewers into an intimate exploration of identity, sensuality, and sovereignty - where each image becomes not just a portrait, but a mirror of embodied truth.
